Welcome to the Mineral County Museum and Historical Society. Just blocks away from the Mineral County courthouse in scenic Superior, the Mineral County Museum welcomes visitors to explore its engaging exhibits, rich collection of artifacts, and bounty of research materials. The Museum has exhibits on the Mullan Road, mining, logging, and the social history of Mineral County.

Opened in 1976 to celebrate the national bicentennial, the Museum welcomes all visitors and charges no admittance fee.

Mission Statement

To collect, protect and preserve materials, archives and artifacts from our historical, geologic and geographic area.

Goals and Objectives

To maintain collections for the benefit of the public; to promote multi-generational education use, and enjoyment of all of our collections. These collections to include archives, artifacts, photographs and family history. To help promote tourism; help to educate the young in appreciation of local history; be a resource for research in our county and surrounding areas; to obtain and share information in all formats.

Won’t you join and support the effort to record, maintain, and enhance the history of our county? Each month you receive a copy of the monthly minutes and a bit of county history. During the summer we also have field trips.

Annual cost: $10.00 or $100.00 lifetime membership.
